Description

Pluto moving against the stars last night. It is quite faint and tiny at mag 14.3. Two hours of 3 minute exposures compressed into a 2 second looping time-lapse. Captured in poor seeing and through some light haze from the Bay of Plenty in New Zealand. Originally I only made a time-lapse so I could identify which object was Pluto, by its movement. In other respects it just looks like a tiny faint star even with an 11 inch aperture OTA and 1960mm focal length.
